Muhammad and Friends · May 11, 2018

WATCH · 58 MINUTES

On May 11, 2018, Brother Munir Muhammad brought Gilad Atzmon into the studio for his appearance on Muhammad and Friends. Atzmon was born and raised in Israel. He served in the Israeli army. He left the country after realizing he was living on someone else’s land. He is an internationally toured jazz musician and a published author who has debated known American scholars on Israel, Zionism, and Palestine.

Brother Munir conducted this interview as an examination. He set each subject, gave Atzmon room to answer, then pressed on what mattered and moved on when the point was made. He asked these questions in 2018. He asked them of a guest willing to answer them. He let the answers stand.

“He asked these questions in 2018. He asked them of a guest willing to answer them. He let the answers stand.”
— From the essay, The C.R.O.E. Report, September 2026
